The Sustainable Business Center (SBC) collaborates with several local and state organizations to assist sustainable green businesses. West Central Illinois is home to dozens of organizations whose primary mission is to help start-ups and established businesses.
The SBC and these organizations want to see you succeed. If you want information on training, technical support, advice, marketing help, financial information, or incentives and grants, the SBC and the following organizations are ready and available to help.
The EBI Network is a newly established regionally collaboration in West Central Illinois for Entrepreneurs, Business, and Industry. The collaboration is supported by $1.2 million federal grant received by the City of Galesburg and Knox County to: build an entrepreneurial culture, encourage widespread innovation, assist businesses in going global, and to build sustainability.
In the past few years, Knox has made visible efforts to become more sustainable and instill a sustainable mindset in its students for life on campus and for life after college. Many of these efforts are put forth by Knox Advocates for Recycling and Environmental Support, commonly known on campus as KARES.
